Welcome to Soria Moria

Soria Moria Hotel & Conferenscenter is located 500 metres above sea level, on the roof of Oslo. The hotel's location right next to the gateway to Nordmarka, with the Holmenkollen ski jump as its neighbour, provides abundant opportunities for activities and countryside experiences, just 20 minutes from the centre of Oslo.

The hotel was built by the Norwegian Medical Association in 1983, and it has subsequently been extended following two phases of construction. The most recent phase - Soria Moria - "Askeladdens Hus", has been tailor-made for management development, conferences and companies.

Our conference customers come from both public and private businesses, as well as the Norwegian Medical Association. We aim to organise perfect events, and to offer activities designed to bring groups together.

Soria Moria is also an excellent alternative for holidaymakers and travellers who wish to make use of Nordmarka and the Tryvann Winter Park.

Road directions

Arrival by air/train:

From Gardemoen airport take the airport express train to Oslo S (approximately 19 minutes).  From Oslo S station, you can catch tram number 1 (marked “Frognerseteren”) and get off at the penultimate stop (“Voksenkollen” – approximately 30 minutes) before walking the last stretch to the hotel (15 minutes). 

 

Arrival by car:

Follow signs to “Majorstuen/Smestad”.  After the “Smestad” junction, turn right and follow signs for “Holmenkollen”.  Follow this road past the famous Holmenkollen ski jumping arena.  Then follow signs for “Soria Moria Hotell”. Drive about 5 minutes and you have arrived at the hotel. You will see the hotel when you have past the skulpture of Kragh.
