Directions

With Car

From Ring Road 3, follow signs to Smestad, then follow signs to Holmenkollen. After passing the Holmenkollen ski jump, continue on Holmenkollveien towards Tryvann and Frognerseteren until you see a sign indicating the way to Soria Moria Hotel. Turn left onto Voksenkollveien and follow it until you see Soria Moria Hotel on the left side. Just before reaching the hotel, you’ll pass Kragstøtten, where Road Director Hans Hagerup Krag stands, enjoying the fantastic view.

Please note that in 2024, work is being carried out for a new water supply to the Voksenkollen area. This may result in reduced access shortly after Kragstøtten.

Parking is free for our guests until September 1st. After that, there is a free 3-hour period, followed by an hourly rate of 20 NOK. The maximum daily rate is 130 NOK. We have 12 electric vehicle chargers available.

From Oslo central station

Take the metro (T-bane) line 1 towards Frognerseteren and disembark at Voksenkollen station (second-to-last stop). From the station, go right and follow Voksenkollveien for approximately 800 meters until you see the entrance to Soria Moria Hotel.

From Oslo Airport

By public transport: Take the Flytoget or a regional train to Oslo Central Station. Then proceed to the metro (T-bane) and follow the directions as mentioned from Oslo city center.

Taxi: Depending on the number of people in your group, the most cost-effective way to take a taxi from Oslo Airport Gardermoen may be to take the Flytoget to Skøyen station and then take a taxi from there to Soria Moria Hotel, Voksenkollveien 60.

Biking

More and more people are choosing bicycles as their mode of transportation to Soria Moria. It’s not as challenging as one might initially think. Just remember the speed limit on the way down.

As retrieved from Google Maps:
Majorstuen – 62 minutes, 429 meters in elevation
Oslo S (Oslo Central Station) – 78 minutes, 437 meters in elevation
Lysaker torg – 77 minutes, 474 meters in elevation

Once you’re at the top, we have covered bicycle parking, and, of course, you’re welcome to use our wellness department’s changing rooms for a shower and a change of clothes.
